One of their core offerings at the time was the Request for Quote (RFQ) application, a sophisticated fintech platform that allowed banks to develop and manage structured products.

Responsibilities and Achievements

  • Planning, estimating and developing new features for the RFQ (Request for Quote) app
  • Leading the TypeScript & RTK migration
  • Improving and extending the internal Move-UI library (including complete type definitions)
  • Conducting technical interviews for new joiners in Zurich and Sofia
  • Ticket refinement with business analysts
  • Maintaining and refactoring fundamental architecture
  • Code reviews and knowledge sharing (TS, RxJS, GraphQL)
  • Improving automated GitHub actions workflow (multiple instance E2E tests)
  • Writing documentation

Conclusion

My time at Move Digital was a valuable experience that allowed me to grow significantly as a frontend developer, improve my interviewing skills and learn how to work in a hybrid team. The opportunity to learn about the financial industry and the challenges that come with it was particularly career defining for me, and ultimately led me to dive headfirst into the world of crypto and blockchain technology.
